Jesus said we can do "nothing apart from Him". He really meant this. We can't even love God and obey Him apart from His life within us. Even Jesus didn't do things by his own strength. Jesus said he performed no miracles nor even said anything on his own. It was the works of the Father. The works of our faith are not our own, they're yielding to the life of God within us. It becomes effortless as we learn how to abide in Him, and allow Him to live His life through us. It's so good!
