The ultimate purpose of the Vine Life

In John 15 Jesus is giving instructions on how the Kingdom will advance after His crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. Often times we look at this teaching and long for the fruit. But the fruit is ultimately an expression and byproduct of abiding. "The Vine Life" is a quality of life; a way of living that Jesus made possible through His finished work, resurrection, and abiding presence. It's eternal life, and it's the ultimate purpose of the vine life.
