The Root of All Our Problems

Jesus is the perfect example of Kingdom living. In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus calms a storm from a place of complete peace. He's demonstrating a lifestyle of peace that is possible at all times for a disciple, even in the midst of storms. The problem that Jesus rebuked the Disciples for in this story is the same problem many disciples of Jesus have that leads to a life of fear, worry, anxiety, and restlessness instead of perfect peace.
